How long does the eviction process usually take?

A strict rent collection policy will minimize your exposure to the eviction process. We
aggressively pursue rent collection to make sure tenants know they must pay on time or swift
action will be taken. The eviction process is started no later than the 7th day of the month. When
the tenant realizes the seriousness of the matter, the rent is almost always paid in a timely
manner.

The eviction process moves quickly through the use of our attorney’s office. From start to finish
it takes approximately four to six weeks. Our attorney’s office will: serve a “Pay or Quit” notice,
file court documents, appear in court, get a judgment, forward the paperwork to the Sheriff’s
office and then notify our brokerage to regain possession.
